Nomad Train: From TBEX Asia
to the World Nomad Games

A curated train journey from Almaty to Kyrgyzstan
In late August 2026, Almaty hosts TBEX Asia, the world's largest travel creator conference.
Right after, Kyrgyzstan hosts the World Nomad Games — the Olympics of nomadic culture,
with 89 countries competing in horseback archery, eagle hunting, and traditional wrestling.
Nomad Train connects both events with an overnight train journey from Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan
with a soft landing in Bishkek, a trip to Lake Issyk-Kul, and a small group of like-minded travelers.

You don't need to attend TBEX to join.
The train departs August 30 and is open to anyone curious about Central Asia.

What Are the World Nomad Games?
Every few years, 89 countries send their athletes to Kyrgyzstan to compete in sports you won't find at any other games — horseback archery, eagle hunting, kok-boru (a high-speed team sport played with a goat carcass), traditional wrestling from a dozen different cultures, and ancient strategy games played with sheep bones.
The World Nomad Games are exactly what the name says: the Olympics of nomadic heritage. First held in 2014 on the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul, they've grown into the largest celebration of Central Asian culture on the planet.
6th edition runs August 31 – September 6, 2026. Opening ceremony in Bishkek, main competitions at Lake Issyk-Kul in Cholpon-Ata.
